What we do

For the past decade, we have been putting data and evidence at the heart of livestock decision-making. Our multi-disciplinary team brings together expertise across animal health, economics, data science, social science, gender, and knowledge exchange, translating complex evidence into more effective policies, investments, and action on the ground. 

Data challenges 

SEBI-Livestock tackles critical barriers that prevent effective decision-making in the livestock sector. By identifying the root cause of data failure, we deliver targeted solutions to make data useful, trusted, and accessible.

SEBI-Livestock operates as a results-oriented centre embedded within an academic institution, combining service-oriented agility with independent, critical thinking. Our approach is defined by four unique strengths:

This allows us to apply academic thinking to real-world problems ensuring our solutions are scientifically rigorous, gender-inclusive, and practically useful.
